A Deliberate Church And Deliberate People

What role does the local church play in your life?

In this standalone message from Ephesians 4–5, Dr. Michael Criner makes a simple, searching claim: if Jesus is central to your life, His church cannot be peripheral to it. You cannot have a high view of Jesus and a low view of His church.

In Ephesians 4:1–16, we see a deliberate church, one that knows where it is trying to take people and equips every member toward maturity in Christ. In Ephesians 5:1–21, we see a deliberate people, believers who discern what pleases the Lord, look carefully at how they walk, and refuse to sleepwalk through the Christian life. You will not accidentally become spiritually mature.

You don't have to figure out the next ten years. You only need to discern the next step, and then take it. What is your next step?
